Holiday gifts for the tennis girl in your life! – tennistravelsite.com

It is so much fun to find something special for the tennis girl in your life!  Here are a few of this tennis girl’s holiday gift ideas!

Real Housewives of….wine glass!

One of my tennis friends gave me a great gift. A Real Housewives of Basking Ridge wine glass with a bottle of my favorite Chardonnay! Love, love, love! This glass can be inscribed with any town name. This wine glass was purchased from The Rebecca Collection in Bernardsville, New Jersey (908)221-0025 or similar ones can be purchased online at Etsy.com or a gift store near you!

Tennis outfit:

There are many tennis lines to pick from when choosing a tennis outfit.  I love Lacoa Sports!  Every time I wear my Lacoa Sports Tennis skirt or top to a match, someone compliments me and asks me about it. Recently, I added the following tennis skirt and top to my collection.  I love the colors and the tennis theme!  These items can be found on lacoasports.com. Creative and personalized tennis gifts on Etsy:

I love the creative tennis gifts found on the Etsy website.  There are many to choose from, but here are a few that I love.  A tennis ornament, a tennis tray (perfect for hosting a tennis lunch), a tennis wine stopper (you’ve been aced), and personalized tennis notecards! (shopping hint:  When I was recently shopping on the site, I noticed a $10 Etsy credit when you spend $20 or more in a single transaction on etsy.com using your American Express card in the next few days. See Etsy site for more details).

Ame & Lulu Tennis bags:

I admit it.  I’m a (tennis) bag lady.  I have my bags that I play team tennis, my tennis travel bag and fun tennis bags.  They each serve their purpose! The tennis bag that I have been eyeing (hint, hint!) is the Ame & Lulu Varsity Bag.  The key thing is to have a small pouch to change your necessities.

Ballard Designs’ Monogrammed pouch:

I love Ballard Designs’ monogrammed pouches (see cosmetic bag).  They are great to store everyday tennis necessities. When you change tennis bags, just move the pouch to the bag!  The tennis pouch (aka cosmetic bag) can be used to hold biofreeze, kleenex packs, bandaids, hair ties (hint: great stocking stuffers).

Tiffany and Co. Tennis pendant and chain:

I love anything that comes in a Tiffany Blue box.  I’ve dropped hints (Tiffany website has a drop a hint link) on their tennis racquet sterling silver necklace.

Go Big! – Miami Open tennis weekend:

A great holiday gift would be a tennis weekend complete with watching professional tennis matches, playing tennis and accommodations.  The 2019 Miami Open tournament will be exciting this year because it is the first year it will be played at the Hard Rock arena. Why not a weekend in the sun, in Miami, enjoying a great tournament at it’s new venue!  (tip: Look for tennistravelsite’s own tennis itineraries, coming very soon!)

Romantic tennis getaway:

If tennis events are not your thing, then why not a romantic tennis getaway to someplace warm?   In the winter we enjoy going to Ft. Lauderdale – Miami, Florida area, The Caribbean and Southern California.  Check out my blog posts (over 50 posts on different places to visit and play tennis)!

Caribbean resort with tennis:

We love the Caribbean.  There are many islands to choose from in the Caribbean.  We recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman. This resort is awesome because it has a fantastic beach, spa, restaurants, a beautiful golf course, and a wonderful tennis center and much more.  We cannot wait to return to this fantastic resort.

Southern Florida resorts with tennis:

Miami, Florida: The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Florida with the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center on property. This resort is my favorite resort with tennis. It has the beach, Spa and tennis, all within minutes of Miami, Florida (fly into Miami or Fort Lauderdale airport)

Naples, Florida:  The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Florida.  This resort has tennis, pool, spa and close to the beach.  We enjoyed taking tennis drills with the tennis pros. Naples has a great shopping and restaurants (fly into Ft. Myers, Florida airport)

Southern California resorts with tennis!

Palm Springs, California:  There are many resorts to stay at in the desert.  We enjoy staying at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage.  Although they do not have tennis on the property, This location is great because it is close to Indian Wells.  We always fly into Los Angeles, California, rent a car and drive two hours to the Palm Springs area. While staying at the resort, we enjoy the lovely resort (great hikes in the mountains, wonderful spas, pools, restaurants with entertainment) and then drive to our tennis venues (we enjoyed playing tennis at La Quinta Resort and at Rancho Las Palmas Country Club).

Laguna Niguel, California: If you love the ocean, stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.  They have tennis courts on property with a tennis Pro who is available for lessons and drills.  The views are stunning. (fly into Los Angeles or Orange County Airports).

Other tennis holiday gifts:

Always on my list is a manicure/pedicure gift certificate at your tennis girl’s favorite nail place.  Our hands and feet take a beating on the court. Couple the gift certificate with some fantastic lotion!

Don’t forget gift certificates with your tennis gal’s favorite tennis pro, or tennis facility – book tennis lessons.  Call the tennis facility, they can be very helpful and book a series of tennis clinics or lessons. You can take it a step further and buy a tennis racquet and/or a cute tennis outfit.

Stocking Stuffers for the tennis player:

Lastly, don’t forget stocking stuffers for your tennis love!  Here are some of my favorite stocking stuffers!

Tennis balls: My favorite tennis balls for the hard court are ProPenn.  Tennis balls are always in need. It’s great to receive them as a gift.  Always have a new can of tennis balls in your tennis bag!

Tennis butts: (cute stickers placed on the butt of the tennis racquet handle)….helps the team spin for serve or return…in this case diamonds or pearls!  These can be found on many websites from etsy to Amazon.

Net check:  That net better not be too high…be sure of it with a net check!  I found a great one on the USTA National Campus website! (tip: 36” is the height at the middle of the net (from ground to top of the net).

Tennis grip rings: I love the Babalot custom rings “ Vamos”  – reminds you to play like Rafa! You can purchase the tennis racquet rings (goes over top of handle, grip) at tennis pro shops, or online stores such as Tennis Express.

There are many gift ideas for the tennis player.  Please review my previous blogs on different places to visit and play tennis.  There are so many to choose from!  Enjoy surprising your tennis girl with a thoughtful tennis gift!
